MORE TEA, JESUS?

More Tea, Jesus? is James Lark's debut novel, published by Authonomy, an imprint of HarperCollins.

A character comedy laced with satire, it has reportedly left many readers laughing out loud in public places. It is also regularly described as charming, which the author finds surprising given how much sex and swearing it contains.

Alright, not as much as Fifty Shades of Grey. But a lot more than Songs of Praise.

Its publication was, to put it frankly, has been a long time coming, and you can read about long and involved story behind it in a continuing series of blogs:

1. Revelation: an idea for a novel comes at an inconvenient time
2. Job: a man being tested or a thing that gets in the way of writing?
3. 1 Chronicles: how to get your novel nearly published but not quite
4. 2 Chronicles: the issue of the title
5. Lamentations: back to square one
6. Judges: along comes Authonomy
7. Genesis: where the ideas came from
